This experimental, non-figurative watercolour course is designed to free the painter from any preconceived ideas such as acceptability, success and failure, and go with the flow of colour, feeling, and emotion. Using numerous watercolour techniques, mediums, and approaches, we will quite simply have fun with paint!

Join me with Alpha Painting Holidays in stunning Southern Spain in the region of Cordoba, where you will paint some beautiful white-washed villages and panoramic landscapes covered in olive groves.

I'll also be at Patchings Art Festival, July, 11th - 13th, set in glorious countryside in Calverton, north of Nottingham.
There's a wealth of talented artists, artisans and craftspeople you can watch at work and chat with. Wander around the numerous spacious marquees at leisure, trying out and testing various art materials, whilst getting yourself some arty bargains from the many exhibitors who will be there. There's usually a super brass band playing outside while you chat with your favourite artists, and you can have a pleasant break inside or outside the refreshments tent that serves a good range of snacks, along with tea and coffee. It's an ideal event for non-painters too as there's so much to see and do; it's not all about painting.
If you're travelling a distance I'd consider booking overnight accommodation because a day is scarcely enough. 

I will be doing 60-minute workshops each day there along with my colleagues from Artist Demo Days in our own marquee, a different artist each hour. All materials are provided and you get to do a lovely picture to take home, all for £10.00 per workshop! (You will also need to buy your entry ticket to Patchings) You will be able to book our workshops in advance (recommended), as there are 18 limited places in each workshop.
